Counsellor and Supervisor
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working from North Road in Brighton. I offer a confidential, professional and safe space for the exploration of emotional and psychological problems or difficulties.
I am registered and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) and have a Diploma in Supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Allied Health Professionals. It is important when considering working with a therapist that they are registered with an ethical and recognised national body to make sure that they meet the professional standards required by membership and comply with ongoing training requirements.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2005 and since then have gained a wealth of experience of working with children, young people and adults from many walks of life each bringing different and often complex issues.
At the forefront of how I work is the relationship between myself and the person I am working with. I believe that it is paramount to feel that you can work with, feel safe and most importantly trust the person you choose to work with. To help facilitate this I ask that you attend an initial assessment session of up to 50 minutes where you can explore in complete confidence the issues that are troubling you. This also offers you the opportunity to see if you feel happy and comfortable with me and if counselling is the right thing for you at this time.
The issues that I have experience of working with are:
