As a counsellor I am registered and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) and also hold a Diploma in Supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Allied Health Professionals.
When considering working with a therapist I think it is important to check that they are registered with an ethical and recognised national body to make sure that they meet the professional/ethical standards required by such membership and comply with on-going training requirements
